1st Edition — Puelo Valley, Cochamó, Chile
A 4-day packrafting gathering featuring river runs, workshops and community activities in Chilean Patagonia.
EL ENCUENTRO - THE GATHERING
The Patagonia Packrafting Roundup is an international gathering that brings together packrafters, river enthusiasts and the outdoor community to paddle together, share knowledge and strengthen river safety culture.
Over four days, participants will meet in the Puelo Valley to explore local rivers, participate in workshops and share experiences around packrafting and river culture in Patagonia.
The event is planned for late January or early February 2027.
Official dates will be announced soon.
The Patagonia Packrafting Roundup is organized as a community-driven gathering for people who share a passion for rivers and packrafting.
River runs and activities are organized collaboratively among participants, considering river conditions and the experience level of each group.
Each morning an open river briefing will be held to discuss water levels, river sections and recommended routes based on participants’ experience.
Participants are responsible for their own safety on and off the river, including evaluating their skills and experience before joining any run.
The gathering aims to promote a culture of safety, learning and respect for rivers.
Part of the event income will support organizations and projects related to river conservation and local territory.

Community river runs on different sections of the Puelo River and nearby rivers.
Workshops
Practical workshops on river safety, basic rescue techniques, river reading and packraft expedition systems.
Talks, film screenings and social gatherings to share river stories, expeditions and conservation initiatives.
